GAZA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli drone strike killed a Palestinian man in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday, medical officials said, as sporadic violence continues despite a ceasefire agreement in place since October.
The man was killed in Bani Suhaila, a town east of Khan Younis currently under Israeli military control, officials at the Nasser Medical Complex reported.
The death brings the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect on Oct. 10 to 350, according to Gaza's health authorities.
Elsewhere in the strip, witnesses and local sources reported Israeli artillery shelling on Friday in the eastern outskirts of Khan Younis and Rafah. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire northeast of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In Gaza City, witnesses said Israeli forces detonated several residential buildings in the Shuja'iyya and Tuffah neighborhoods, areas operating under Israeli control.
The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incidents.
Palestinian security sources estimate that Israeli forces currently control approximately 53 percent of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas has repeatedly accused Israel of violating the ceasefire terms by crossing the "Yellow Line" -- the demarcation of current positions -- and advancing westward. The group says these movements have triggered further mass displacement, accompanied by continued airstrikes and shelling in eastern areas of the enclave. ■
